Required for lessons: Some type of boot and if you wish to continue learning you must get your own riding helmet.
A normal lesson is one hour which includes grooming, tacking, the lesson, and untacking. usually ending with a little trail ride which helps expand our skills.
Our lessons are always educational, but not always mounted. They will be working with horses on the ground as well. Students learn natural horsemanship, liberty, trick training, driving, and more.
We encourage our riders to also help around the farm with cleaning stalls, feeding hay or grain, sweeping, etc. before or after their lessons.
We teach a balanced seat and allow them to experience this in western and english saddles as well as bareback.
The stable boasts a variety of, year-round activities that any horse lover can enjoy. This stable infusing natural horsemanship (horse whispering) into all aspects of the equine programs offered. A student may choose from many different equine paths, combine disciplines and learn about horses in their entirety, not just learning how to ride but how to care for and truly understand them.
Whether your a serious show rider, riding for pleasure, first time beginner or if you have been riding for years, we are sure to have a program to suit you. What's that mean exactly? Well, we focus on your goals. Don't have any that's ok too.
We remain a natural minded facility by practicing Natural horse-care. This means horses are not kept in stalls, do not routinely use blankets in the winter and there are no horses who wear horseshoes unless necessary.
